![]() ![]() Everything else was great-especially the late checkout option, but the whole point of going is the waterpark so the cool temperature was REALLY disappointing. ![]() Bedding was a bit lame in the kids cabin, blankets were small. What a disappointment! We went in the middle of January expecting a tropical playday, this is not what we got. It was NOT warm in there, certainly not comfortable if you're going to get wet. It felt like room temperature-I would guess 72F. They claim its 29C or 84F-there is NO WAY. It was SO cool in the waterpark I could not enjoy the activities with my kids! My 5yr olds lips were blue within 20 mins of us getting there and playing in the wave pool, she didn't last for very long in the waterpark that afternoon or the next day. So we finally took our 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 5 to check it out for a night. ![]() It's cheaper than Great Wolf Lodge, but we kept hearing how amazing GWL was. Sorry, GWL, but I would rather you charge $10 more and give our children a comfortable pool temp.Ī cold pool kind of ruins the entire experience.įor several years we have gone to the Fallsview Waterpark and stayed at the Skyline Inn. Maybe end up costing the same or more after being nickeled and dimed for meals, parking, activities etc.Ĭan anyone share their experince at Fallsview Indoor Waterpark or GWL, especially during peak time like March Break? How is the water temp.? Cleanliness? Can you recommend any good hotels or activities? As a true rfd'er, looking for a great deal, so pls let me know how/where to save money!Ī recent review on TripAdvisor shows that the temperature problem has not yet been corrected. More kid friendly activities to do near Clifton Hill and the falls. GWL - $$$$, but really cool and clean, they have bigger rooms, no parking fee, but out of the way from other Falls attractions, so liited options for meals and other activitiesįallsview - lots more hotel options, but not too many with a 7 person capacity. We've been to GWL several years ago, so I know the waterpark is awesome, but there are pros and cons to each: The kids would love the "slumber party" feel with the cousins. A couple of families are going, 7 people total (3 adults, 4 kids aged 7, 10, 11, and 17), so we need to book either a few rooms, or preferably one big room. We are considering either GWL of Fallsview waterpark. DD is aging out of the story time and crafts, but the rock climbing, ropes, golf, and bowling are still enjoyable for older kids.Hi everyone, looking to book a couple of nights in Niagara for the kids during March Break. We bring food for lunch (frig and microwave in the room), and we get pizza or take-out for dinner. But it saves your progress in your wand, so you can pick up again the next day or the next trip.) We usually eat breakfast in the restaurant, because it's not too expensive and pretty good. (DD has finished the quest, but not in a single day or even a single trip - I think you'd have to play for a whole day or two to get to the end. We buy the wolf passes, and the kids can use the extra stuff on there anytime, so that's good when they want a scoop of ice cream, or a minigolf game, or they want to play MagiQuest. I don't think they are really necessary for just a family trip, because you can always go to your room if you need a break.) For regular trips, we take 1 of DD's friends along and stay 2 nights. (We rented a cabana for that, since we had 15 kids to herd, and we needed a place for their stuff - but we got it at a big discount because we were having a party there. We also had DD's 8th birthday party there, because it's less than an hour from where we live. We've stayed at the Fitchburg, MA, GW about 4 times. ![]()
